I have an idea and I need to know what people think of it!
I just got my copy of the Lutheran Study Bible yesterday, and I noticed that one of the features of the Bible is “A Two-Year Reading Plan.” What I have in mind is this: Beginning in January (isn’t that when we all start our resolutions, we begin the Two-Year Reading Plan. I will blog on here, every day, just like I do now, based on the Reading Plan. Then, once a week, we will gather and discuss what we’ve read based on the Life By His Word companion to the Lutheran Study Bible. You can read more about that below.
By then, we will have been through the Treasury of Daily Prayer once. We will put that away for two years and come back to it again FRESH.
Please, please, please … let me know what you think about this idea.
READ ABOUT THE LIFE BY HIS WORD BELOW …
Who is this product for? God’s Word is our source for life. Through deeper study of each book in the Bible, we see the big picture of Scripture from creation through the redemption of Jesus Christ. If you crave more intentional, comprehensive study of all of the Bible, you will appreciate Life by His Word. Whether you are new to the church, a life-long member, part of a small group, or studying on your own, the studies included will connect you with the full story of God’s work in your life and lead you to see His promises anew.
What does this provide for you?
• A comprehensive study of God’s Word. Lessons are drawn from The Lutheran Study Bible and enhance the faith life of your church family.
• Timely topics. When a hot topic comes up in the news, groups can study this topic in the light of God’s Word.
• Connection to the timeless conversation that has been unfolding within and around God’s Word throughout the centuries.
What is it?
This Bible study on CD-ROM covers every book and chapter of the Bible.

Hi Pastor,
As you work through introducing and using the Treasury, I would love to hear from you and your class the tips, tricks, and insights that you come up with. I have begun to gather these and will begin posting them on my blog under the heading Treasury of Daily Prayer User’s Guide.
